After days of After Effects tutorials, trial and errors, brainstorming more ideas, and gathering endless amounts of assets, Ben and I finally completed “Hapless Fame.” in terms of narration, Hapless Fame is partially inspired by my love of Gossip Girl. All of our assets were acquired from magazine cut-outs and high resolution web images that were stylized in photoshop. Here are some of our assets. In short, this 1:30 animation is about a young woman who is also an aspiring writer. After receiving an invitation to an event, she decides to use this as her opportunity to find something possibly scandalous to write about. Hapless Fame is definitely a piece that we will continue working on as we continue to receive feedback.  We also posted our storyboard, original and stylized assets here. Ben also had some thought about our workflow on his blog.

We have received a lot of positive feedback and will also be making some minor changes and additions to hapless fame.
